More About Me

As a senior Media Arts and Studies student, I am highly equipped with digital production, communication, and public relations skills, being recognized this year with faculty honors for some of my published work. From my work with the Erika Monaé Group - a group dedicated to inspiring networking in Detroit’s professionals - and Microsoft, I filmed and edited promotional videos and powerful documentaries. I created branding and logos for a local community theatre’s fundraising campaign which raised over $15,000 and for a fundraiser video with Wayne State University that raised over $50,000. I am currently working as a content creation intern for Graham Media Group for The Something Good Show where my work is nationally published on seven affiliate stations. In addition to this, I am an associate producer for the PBS show MetroArts Detroit and work as a PA on local independent film sets. 

I am a dedicated leader and learner, earning a 3.98 cumulative GPA, and studying in the honors college at one of the most diverse college campuses across the US. I have held an executive position on WSU’s American Marketing Association while carrying a full academic load and part-time job. I am a creative thinker and possess an uncanny ability to think outside-the-box. During my time as an intern at the Shelby Township Supervisor’s Office, I combined these skills with superior professionalism and organizational ability to work as a team player to create and promote community-wide events with other departments of the office through digital mediums.

In addition to studying media and production in the classroom setting, I have also had the opportunity to be on the other side of the camera. I have accumulated eleven years of acting experience across the Metro-Detroit area. From theatre productions to film, I know how to communicate and thrive in a fast-paced environment, and I have witnessed first-hand how much hard work goes into creating and producing authentic content.

Overall, I know the many facets of media and what it takes to achieve a quality production, from the creation of ideas to the writing and execution. I am a valuable asset to a team and can provide diverse knowledge, backed by experiential skills, that can aid in creating the best content for both internal and external publics.
